This pad has multiple uses: Wedge pad, navicular, sinker (founder) and Draft or large horses.
 
For Sinker founder, where the bone sinks in the hoof capsule. The pad will be cut to support the sole and relieve the hoof wall. This is done by having the horse stand on the pad to make a hoof impression. Using a good utility knife cut the impression just inside the hoof wall at a 45 degree angle. The pictures will be of help here.
 
This pad can also be cut to be used as a wedge pad for navicular horses. I good serrated knife or hack saw works well with cutting the angle that is needed.
 
Great pad for Draft horses.
 
The Sinker Pad is only available in 3/4″ thickness.
